Fulham Palace has been awarded  Heritage Lottery Fund bid for the next stage of their renovation project in September.  This involves an extensive change to the public spaces inside the palace which is designed to help bring the palace to life for visitors.  It will open up areas previously unavailable to the public.  The Fulham Palace Trust are in discussion with the local authority about the planning application and plan to hold a public exhibition at the Palace between 13th and 19th June, where the plans will be revealed.  The Fulham Society is represented on a local stakeholder panel, which also includes English Heritage and the Friends of Bishops Park.   The Fulham Society supports, in principle, efforts to improve the visitor experience and to help put the Palace on a more sustainable financial footing.  For further information, visit the Restoration page of the Fulham Palace website.
