Chelsea Creek , the site immediately adjacent to the Imperial Gas Works site was granted planning permission in  July 2016 . Various reserved matters are  being dealt with . The latest one submitted in March 2017  reference 2017/01221/RES deals with the exterior landscaping .

The scheme includes 489 residential units of which 147 are affordable . There will be 1472m2 0f commercial space, 8896m2 of B1 office space all housed within 7 buildings . The scheme includes the formation of a water basin, two canals and a lock to replace the existing Chelsea Creek barrier gates
