Activities of The Fulham Society include: Meetings The Society holds an Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings on matters of local interest. At these meeting members have the opportunity to discuss matters of concern and to ask questions The Committee meets monthly. Newsletter The Society publishes a newsletter twice a year informing members on developments in the area and items of local interest. Elections The Society supports elections in the borough by promoting meetings where members can question candidates from the main political meetings. The Fulham Society 2006 Borough Election Forum was held Monday 24 April 2006 at St Dionis Mission Hall, Parsons Green at 8.00pm. Celebrating Fulham Week The Society organises a programme of cultural events in the Summer each year.This year the week ran from 28 June until 6 July 2008. Summer Party The Summer Party, open to all members and their friends, is held each year in July. This years party was held on 8 July 2008 in the garden of Lady Margaret School. Annual General Meeting updated The AGM will be held on 8.00pm 18 November 2008 at Lady Margaret School, Parsons Green. Any member wishing to propose a motion at the meeting must give at least 45 days' notice, in writing to the Honorary Secretary. Kit Malthouse, GLA Member, will speak on "The Relationship between the GLA and LAs" Fulham Society Carol Service updated The Society's Annual Carol Service will be held at 8.00pm on 10 December 2008.in the Fulham Palace Chapel.Tickets at £12 each are available from the The Secretary, Maya Donelan or at the AGM. |
