February 2019 – Plans agreed for this very large site, part of the South Fulham Regeneration area, and the area renamed King’s Road Park.

This large development is situated south of the New Kings Road and bounded by Imperial Road and the Chelsea Creek development. It is part of the Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area and is being developed jointly by St William, a subsidiary of Berkeley Homes, and Imperial Gas. The new development has been named King's Road Park.

St William submitted the planning application in 2018 and it was approved in February 2019 (ref 2018/02100/COMB). http://democracy.lbhf.gov.uk/documents/s102545/6.%20Fulham%20Gasworks%20-%20Imperial%20Road.pdf

The plan envisages a total of 1,843 homes, 646 of which would be affordable, in buildings up to 37 storeys in height. It preserves the listed No.2 Gasholder and restores the 1856 Chief Engineer's Office and the 1927 Former Research Laboratory, both listed buildings. The 1920 WW1 War Memorial and WW2 War Memorial) will both be restored but moved.
