June 2021 - Although the two buildings have now been demolished, the site is yet to be cleared.

BPTW have been selected as architects for the development and preliminary discussions are taking place between them, the Council and local residents. Early proposals are looking at two U-shaped buildings, rising to 7 stories in the centre of each block with central courtyards, 131 flats, minimum of 50% affordable housing, some 20 car parking spaces, and possible affordable work space along the Dawes Road. There is continuing discussion about the retention of trees on site, and about the relationship between the new build, the adjacent streets and remaining housing on the site.

November 2020 – BPTW appointed as the Lead Architect for the rebuild of the flats on the Aintree Estate following the demolition of the two 14-storey towers.

Hartopp Point and Lannoy Point, two 14-storey towers, on the Aintree Estate in Dawes Road have been demolished following the discovery of serious structural faults in a survey undertaken after the Grenfell Tower disaster. In 2019, tenants were rehoused and buy-outs of leaseholders’ flats negotiated. BPTW LLP have been appointed as the Lead Architect for the project.

The Fulham Society hope that the Council might use this as an opportunity to consider building low level, high density blocks in place of the two tower blocks. There are already good examples of this type of building in the Borough, at Fulham Broadway and St Peter’s Terrace.
