Fulham resident William Schaw Lindsay MP was born in Ayrshire and orphaned aged 10. He ran away to sea and had many adventures, including being attacked by pirates. He gravitated to Fulham and here set up and ran a successful shipping empire. The story will be told by his biographer at the lovely Kyn care home, with refreshments provided. Booking is essential and a £5 charge is payable to cover costs.
